Imagine
you
are talking to a relative, a friend or a colleague.
Maybe you are studying Spanish together.
Perhaps you are testing each other with some basic questions and
answers in Spanish. At some point, the other person says to you
something like: "how
many months are there in a year?"
In
Spanish, the other person could say:
¿Cuántos
meses tiene el año?
The
question is an invitation for you to give the number of months in a
year. You may want to say that:
- There are twelve months in a year;
- You don't know the number months in a year;
Here are a couple
of examples of how you could reply:
- El año tiene doce meses (there are 12 months in a year);
- No sé cuantos meses tiene el año (I don't know how many months there are in a year);
Now
you should practice answering the question:
¿Cuántos
meses tiene el año?
