Imagine
you
are talking to a relative, a friend or a colleague.
Maybe you are studying Spanish together. Perhaps you are testing each
other with some basic questions in Spanish. At some point, the other
person says to you something like: "how
many days are there in this month?"
In
Spanish, the other person could say:
¿Cuántos
días tiene este mes?
The
question is an invitation for you to talk about the number of days in
given month. The answer depends on the month in question. You may
want to say that:
- The current month has a given number of days (28/ 29/ 30/ 31);
- You don't know the number of days in the current month;
Here are some
examples of how you could reply:
- Este mes tiene veintiocho días (this month has 28 days);
- Este mes tiene veintinueve días (this month has 29 days);
- Este mes tiene treinta días (this month has 30 days);
- Este mes tiene treinta y un días (this month has 31 days);
- No sé cuantos días tiene este mes (I don't know how many days there are in this month);
Now
you should practice answering the question:
¿Cuántos
días tiene este mes?
