In Spanish, “chaqueta” is a feminine noun of French origin, the main meaning of which is jacket/ sports coat.

In some parts of the Spanish-speaking world, the noun “chaqueta” may also used to refer to a tooth crown.

Some expressions with the word “chaqueta” are:

• Cambiar de chaqueta (to change sides);
• (Chaqueta) americana (blazer -Spain);
• Chaqueta de ante (suede jacket);
• Chaqueta de cuero (leather jacket);
• Chaqueta de lana (wool jacket);
