In Spanish, “gimnasio” is a masculine noun of Latin origin, which means gym.

A couple of commonly used expressions with the word “gimnasio” are:

  • Apuntarse al gimnasio (to join a gym);
  • Ir al gimnasio (to go to the gym);

Some examples of the use of the word "gimnasio" are:
