Perfidia

La palabra de hoy es: 'perfidia' = treachery. A related word is: 'pérfido'/ 'pérfida' = perfidious, an adjective which in Spanish describes someone who is desloyal, unfaithful, a traitor. It is not a commonly used word in English... but it is the title of a lovely song!

Ejemplos:
  • La perfidia de tu amor (from the lyrics of the song: Perfidia by Alberto Domínguez)
  • Pérfida Albión
Have a look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HK6cYzOUas (Nat King Cole sings: Perfidia)
